A collaborative effort to identify major barriers to evidence‐informed conservation policy

A collaboration between partners from the Cambridge Conservation Initiative and scholars from a diverse range of disciplinary backgrounds and institutions resulted in a new paper assessing the major barriers to evidence-informed conservation policy and possible solutions. As co-author of this piece, I would like to draw attention to our work, which clearly demonstrates the need for mainstreaming conservation and increasing awareness on why conservation efforts are essential for long-term sustainable societies among policy makers and within public debate.
